I absolutely love fried rice, but the average soy sauce has wheat in it. This recipe satisfies all my comfort cravings plus with more veggies and protein versus rice it's pretty healthy too!

Gluten Free Chicken Fried Rice Recipe

First Make the Rice

3/4 cup uncooked rice

1 1/2 cups water

1 teaspoon Better than Bullion Chicken

The Rest

1 diced onion about 3/4 cup

1 cup peeled and diced carrot

2 TBSP Butter

1 cup frozen organic peas

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 TBSP Butter

1 egg

4 tablespoons Coconut Aminos ( I grabbed mine at Target) - This is the key because it's GF

4 oz can of mushrooms

1 cup cooked diced chicken or beef

Cooking Instructions

Make your Rice and set to cool in the frig. Cold rice or leftover rice is best.

  1. Heat 2 TBSP butter in a pan and saute the peeled and diced carrots and diced onions for 4 minutes or until carrots are a little tender. Be careful not to burn or caramelize this.

  2. Add the frozen peas and garlic. Saute for a minute.

  3. Push veggies aside in the pan, add 1 TBSP butter in the open part of the pan, and scramble the egg.

  4. Add your rice, coconut amino, mushrooms, and protein choice.

  5. Once your mixture is warm enough for you enjoy!
